Bandhost is a service set up to provide
Aussie bands and musicians
or music related services with good
cheap reliable internet web hosting services. We pride
ourselves on a no bullshit approach to web hosting giving you what
you need and not charging for the stuff you don't and won't ever
use.
How can I get hold of you?
Bandhost can be contacted by email support@bandhost.com.au We offer a budget service for musicians, which doesn't include phone support. We figure you're smart enough to figure it out anyway.
How can I pay?
You can pay by credit card or paypal when making the order. If you would like to be invoiced directly or pay by direct deposit or money order, please contact us to place your order manually.
Can I host more than one domain, have more email addresses
etc.
Of course. Just ask. We are happy to look at making any changes
you may need to accommodate your requirements. Any questions we are
only too happy to talk to you about them. There may be some costs
associated with these but we will advise you of them. You can even add functionality after you have signed up - things like extra space, bandwidth or databases.
I have no idea how to make a website
No problem. Each of our hosting packages comes with SiteStudio, which allows you to create a website and maintain it through an easy-to-use interface. Feel free to contact us for a demo of SiteStudio.
Can we have mp3's or videos on our site?
Again, no problems at all. Most of the time we suggest the easiest
(and definitely the cheapest) way is to have a downloadable file
but if your site calls for more than that, such as video streaming,
let us know and we can arrange this for you. Video and audio files
are large and therefore you need to watch your bandwidth (that is
the amount of data being accessed on your site) but generally there
are no problems.
I don't have a domain name, how do I get one?
You get a free domain name when you sign-up or if you'd like to arrange it separately send us an email. Charges vary depending on what domain name you want. If you would like a .com.au or .net.au address for 2 years (www.bandname.com.au) you will need to contact us. You need to have an ABN for Australian domain names. Some domain names may not
be available but if you provide us with a few ideas we may come
up with something quite unique.
Are you musicians also?
Yeah, this is all about us doing stuff in the name of music.

sick of not being able to find a decent host that was easy to use
and cost effective for our respective bands while still providing us with people to talk to. We're all muso's
